Training for continuity, resilience, and readiness — built for the private sector.”

PSEMA is building a training platform made for business and industry. It brings practical, on-demand learning to the private sector across the areas that keep companies running through disruption – business continuity, supply chain, homeland security and defense, and disaster management. Designed for the private sector, the program is open to PSEMA’s nonprofit and government partners as well. Built on the “business helping business” model and delivered on psema.org, the full program lives inside PSEMA membership: a dedicated place for members to come for the resources they need.

Your Year-Round Resource

PSEMA shows up during activations, but resilience is built in the stretches between them. The Training Program is designed as a place members come back to: short, practical courses to take anytime, live sessions on the issues that matter now, and applied learning drawn from PSEMA’s own research and partnerships. It’s not a one-time event but a standing resource, something to build on before the next disruption, not during it.

How You’ll Learn

The program is built around flexible formats, so members can learn on their own schedule or engage live with peers and experts.

  • Self-Paced Online: short, modular courses available anytime; the backbone of the library.
  • Live Webinar Series: scheduled, instructor- and panel-led sessions on timely topics and research briefings, each recorded and added to the on-demand library.
  • Hybrid Courses: flagship courses that pair self-paced modules with a live capstone discussion.
  • Virtual Tabletop Exercise: a facilitated, scenario-based exercise drawn from PSEMA’s homeland defense and Arctic research, planned for 2027 as the program’s signature applied-learning event.

A PSEMA Member Benefit

The full Training Program is a member benefit, included with PSEMA membership at every level. Members sign in to reach the complete catalog of on-demand courses, live-session recordings, and applied exercises, no separate fee, no add-on. This is the resource built for the private sector, and it lives behind member login.

Share Your Expertise

The strength of this program is you. We’re inviting PSEMA members to help build the library by developing course content, presenting and recording sessions for online distribution, or both. If you have a topic worth teaching, lessons from the field, or a conference talk that deserves a wider audience, we’ll guide you through every step from idea to published course.

  • Develop content: shape a course or module in your area of expertise.
  • Present content: record a session for on-demand distribution to the member network.

On the Horizon

The program launches in Fall 2026 and grows from there. On the roadmap: certificates of completion and CEU-style recognition, credential pathways for private-sector emergency management, and the 2027 Virtual Tabletop Exercise built on PSEMA’s research. This is the start of a year-round learning community and a signature member benefit as we approach our Five Years Strong milestone.
