PSEMA’s Signature Annual Event
On September 16 and 17, 2026, VisionCast brought private-sector, nonprofit, and government leaders to one table at Global Medical Response’s Office of Emergency Management in Lewisville, Texas. Participants told us the size of the group is what made the two days work: real discussion and problem solving, not presentations.
Three current and recent college students joined the conversation. Their questions about entering the field led directly to the new Private Sector Emergency Management Association (PSEMA) Mentor Program. The first cohort kicks off January 11, 2027, and anyone who signs up by December 15 will be matched before the program starts. Sign up as a mentor or mentee. PSEMA Mentor Program
Day Two included a working session that shaped the course types, formats, and length for the PSEMA Training Program. Participants also took on the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in emergency management and continuity, less than a week after Anthropic reported disrupting attempts to misuse its Claude models for biological weapons research and a suspected Russia-linked cyber espionage campaign against Ukraine.
