PSEMA connects business communities with existing resources to build resilience
Business Continuity
Business continuity is the proactive measures a company or organization takes to avoid loss due to major events that might negatively affect their business.
Business continuity management should include developing detailed emergency preparedness and loss mitigation plans, compiling a contact list of important vendors and suppliers that support critical functions for your business, reaching out to those identified vendors and determining the status of their own emergency response and recovery planning, investigating alternatives for exposed or vulnerable supply chain providers if necessary, communicating with your employees about their own personal emergency preparedness plans for their households in the event of a disaster, and establishing a communication plan for how your company will stay in contact with employees in the event of an emergency.
PSEMA has identified valuable government and private sector resources to help your business in preparing and/or reviewing your business continuity plan. We continually review new sources of information and useful tools for our members, so check back for posting of additional credible resources and training opportunities.
